Sugar has a significant impact on the development of carcinogen cells in the body and people still use it daily in high doses.

A recent study was conducted by a group of scientists from the University of California, San Francisco. It was discovered that there is one ingredient that is found in various foods which contributes to more than 35 million deaths worldwide every year.

As scientists concluded, sugar is the cause of many health problems like diabetes, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, heart disease, cancer and so on.

Study conducted at the Institute of Cancer in the state of Utah in the United States, found that sugar is one of the main causes for the development of the tumor. Cancer cells use more glucose than normal cells. Various studies have shown that people who have higher levels of glucose are more predisposed to develop cancer.

Fact is that our cells need glucose – a form of sugar that is converted to energy. Cancer cells can survive with simple carbohydrates, including refined sugars found in processed foods and sweets. Process in which glucose is converted into pyruvic acid and can no longer provides energy to healthy cells is glucose.

Unlike normal cells, cancer cells can convert their energy from glucose without oxygen. This process is called anaerobic glucose and creates waste, like lactic acid. That kind of lactic acid can be broken down the liver and the waste product of the process is the glucose that returns to feed the cancer cells and forms a circular loop in which it does continuous supply of glucose into the bloodstream, which stimulates growth and tumor development.

Experts point out that processed sugars are associated with cancer because of two reasons:

  1. . They are a potential cause of cancer

  2. They are the best “food” for cancer cells when they occur in the body

For protection of your health, consider the amount of sugar you consume and try to reduce your intake of processed sugars. One thing is for sure – the refined sugar has no positive impact on your health!
